Bio:
David Capper is the Director of Clean Heat at the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy in the UK Government. He is responsible for all aspects of decarbonising heat in domestic and non-residential buildings, including the electrification of heat, heat networks and hydrogen for heating. David has worked for the UK Government on energy & climate policy for nearly 20 years. He has worked in a number of roles over that time, both nationally and internationally. In his previous role, he was the UK’s Lead Negotiator on energy and climate issues in the Trade and Cooperation Agreement with the EU, and responsible for managing the transition for the energy sector of the UK leaving the EU.
