Richard Barker is an adviser and investment committee member at Iona Capital, a leading sustainable private equity investor in renewable energy and energy efficiency. Prior to Iona, he was CEO of Biogen, the UK’s largest food waste to biogas player. He brings more than 25 years’ experience in sustainability, investment banking and strategic consulting. He is a passionate climate change advocate and is an active leader in Al Gore’s Climate Reality initiative. Richard has also given a TEDx talk on the intriguing subject of “What the abolition of slavery in the UK teaches us about climate change”.
